Jiffy Pop and Coolio are a bonded pair of siblings, so I figured I'd keep them on one page together (also on parents page info) Obviously it wasn't too long before the kitties started having more kitties. I was awakened early one morning (grumble mutter gripe gripe) by the sound of chirping - now that wasn't too unusual as the cheetahs made that kind of noise all the time. But this wasn't one of them, it was coming from the attic, and that could mean only one thing. "Kittens!" I yelled, and carefully navigated the ladder up into the forbidding but warm top space of the house. There were plenty of other critters around, but I could see immediately that Butterball and Ruckus had been successful a couple months back ... it was a riot watching the chubby Butterball acting all manly. I hoped that maybe this would keep Ruckus's noise level down, but that wasn't too likely. There were a good number of little baby kitten-birds, and immediately I fell in love with a couple of them. But clearly, I couldn't keep them all. I also didn't think bringing them to a parking lot in a box would be a good idea. I brought them to the Healing Den, that was a much better plan. Jiffypop and Coolio fit at either end of the energetic spectrum: you guess which ends.
Jiffy is quite the talker, and enjoys sniffing new people or animals even if they're quite a bit bigger than she is. She's very much the dominant sibling and leads the way for her brother. *
Coolio tends to spend his time watching his sister socialize, and while he definitely will wander out to meet newcomers himself, he won't initiate contact and will wait for her to clear the way. |
