Name: 'Colonel' Odessa Cubbage Gender: Male, Straight Age/DOB: 50? / Unknown Origin: Repurposed Earth, USA unknown location, pretends to be British Family: Unknown wives or lovers, two male children Cody and Hercule Other: Well known among the City 10 (London) rebellion, Cubbage has a fan following, but perhaps not for the best reasons. They like to watch him screw up. Height: 5'10 Weight: 170, when he eats enough he can get quite flabby, though because the Rebellion actually does require some amount of effort, he is still fit enough to scuttle around without getting hit, unremarkably average Hair: Red, greying, kept quite short but shaggy, and under a cap at almost all times Eyes: Blue, intense and usually darting a bit, under extremely bushy brows Appearance: ruddy skinned with plenty of stubble, a mustache that is almost as fake as his accent, though charmingly annoying; his jacket, while it has pinned on military awards, is from his prior job at Rochester University in New York, with a clearly visible 'Security' emblem on the patch on his arm, and the word security on its back. He is not a colonel. Genetic Abilities: None, he is entirely bereft of such things, and is easily manipulated by anyone with Vortal power... Such as Lane Icarus Processing: None and would not benefit. |

Skills or Profession: Apparently, Cubbage has plenty of military experience! Just don't ask exactly where from. In truth he's more of a con man and charismatic leader without a clue, than anything else. While he does have some amount of skill with the tools or efforts that the rebellion needs such as being able to shoot a gun and actually recognize what sorts of weaponry and armor exist, putting them into his hands would be a terrible idea indeed. He worked security, he's not even nearly as good at it as Barney Calhoun was at Black Mesa. How Cubbage survived is a complete mystery. To be fair, he is able to spin incredible yarns about 'his' exploits; those exploits are more often someone else's, and always exaggerated to a degree. He's a much better bard and story teller than he is a rebel, and definitely better at those things than actively leading anyone into conflict. He could however be trusted to lead people out of it, his duck and cover, scamper, and hide in the shadows routine is quite good. If anyone could teach him how to actually use that terrible accent he puts on, that would be great. |

Personality: A braggart and liar, willing to manipulate other people but not maliciously, Cubbage has a long history of doing absolutely nothing and taking all the credit for everything around him. So much so that other people actively comment about it when he's not in earshot. He is an abject coward, but he does manage a show of bravado as long as anyone's watching. He seems keenly aware of this, though, and if observed when he's alone (which is a feat, handled usually by some ravens hanging out nearby...) he is in a word, a worrywart. He frets, audibly, but clears his head quickly and responds to anyone's presence with a dashing smile and a clearly affected accent. He does have a decent vocabulary, but he often doesn't know what the hell he's even saying. | |
Events or History: Since Cubbage doesn't talk about his past, there is little to go on regarding his actual history. His sons are aged 17 and 11, and are from two different mothers by their appearances. The best anyone can figure out, by piecing together his many and varied lies, is that post-Synchronicity, he was moved from New York to City 10, London, and once there basically lied his way through numerous gates and communities, and established himself as some kind of tour guide or consultant. When the Combine arrived later, he and a good number of students who had been visiting the City were isolated - thankfully - and he being the eldest of the group naturally assumed command. The fact that a good number of these students were absolutely shitfaced the entire time had a lot to do with that. Isabella Wong was the only Pantheon member anywhere near, and eventually led to his meeting other rebels. This might have put a dent in his shining star of leadership, but for the fact that Geoff and Gordon decided that it wasn't even worth their time to stop him from 'being in charge'. They gave him a post where they thought he would do the least amount of damage, and have the best opportunity to maybe learn from the experience. After the downfall of the Combine, however, he was actually brought back to Black Mesa in order to integrate into the population. He and his sons have had a... rocky reunion at best, but at the very least he is able to proudly say that he is a 'still fertile!' member of the Human race. .... yaaaaaay. |
