Dragon Name: Deeptrench (Prince... sorry, King) |
Skills or Profession: If he had been in training for any specific duties, they're long since forgotten in favor of prowling, hunting, and exploring. He is remarkably adept at remaining hidden, and casually dangerous to local wildlife, preferring to feast on prey that knows it's in danger... deep-diving dolphins and whales, but also alien life forms; he has yet to pursue any of the local dragons, however, because they seem... attended to well to just up and vanish without repurcussions. |
Personality: Patient, but deviant. All he really wants is to trick creatures into his traps, watch them suffer, see them squirm. He listens to the Seawings around this strange Human-made dwelling - there are dangers above the surface that they hide from, and they think they're safe down here... |
Events or History: He was tossled and tumbled around the palaces like his other brothers, ignored by his mother, who craved daughters but was denied by her first child's curse. The only thing that kept Deeptrench from being bored was his own magic, which he hid from his relatives and used to elevate his own pleasure, but unknowingly decreasing his own sanity. But one day, he was swimming along a dark trench with one of his brothers, looking for pearls. He heard a sound in the water behind him, saw a horrifying shape of a monster coming towards him. He struck out with his magic. And there was no monster at all. Just his dead brother, floating in the still, inky black abyss beside him. Deeptrench felt something crumble inside his core. He was the monster, and now his sibling was dead. But... He liked the power. The feeling of being a "monster". He never returned to the palaces, but instead devoured his brother's corpse before darting away like the dead-eyed sharks that were approaching the bloody cloud in the water. Now Deeptrench is a king, a king of the deeper waters in which the SeaWings don't tread through. He rules with the darkest of black eyes, his Aquatic stripes shining brightly before he goes in for the kill, whether it's a sea creature, or a lost SeaWing... A strange warp in the water attracted his attention: where did it lead? The smell of newness came from it, and he swam into a new ocean, so far distant from his home that even the stars above the surface didn't look the same when he explored above... The water is chill and choppy, and there are other dragons, and their little Scavenger friends? And a structure? Built by those humans apparently, and now aided - AIDED?! - by dragons. They should look over their shoulder more often. The whales and weird otherworldly leviathans, shock-leeches, and local sharks aren't the only dangers in the waters around Rapture. |
