Name: Natascha Kamarov Gender: Female, Straight Age/DOB: 29* (approx) /1995 Origin: Repurposed Earth, Russia, family issues brought her to Fairport Alabama for the Origin program Family: Deceased, both parents worked for Aperture after escaping some sort of mafia debt or pursual from Russia, though she seemed to be of 'normal' parentage and is thus among the few in this program that was 'born'. It is entirely possible that they were somehow affected by some of the experiments, producing her powers. She has spliced siblings, but even Melissa won't say with whom she was mixed to produce Jessica. She later has Orrin with Malachite of the Color Guard. Other: Vorts do not in any way trust her, and have refused to train with her even though their powers are remarkably similar in effect Height: 5'10 Weight: 140, tall and model-worthy build, not physically strong but wiry and more durable than she looks without her powers up Hair: pale blond, was almost white at birth and has darkened (which she isn't all that happy with, she's seen photos of herself and prefers the white-platinum, and if there's dye available she certainly would use it), usually cut short as shown, but is rarely tame or flat as the sparks from her powers often make it fly around Eyes: very pale grey-blue with dark grey ring, narrow, angry, shifty Appearance: could have been a model if things with her powers had gone very differently; she isn't 'pretty' enough in the face, however, to pull that off; has gone through numerous clothing phases based on what is around and available. Pale skin, when she's not outside it goes pallid, numerous scars from experimentation and abuse as well as battles, she wears them proudly. |

Genetic Abilities: extremely strong but barely under control Electric abilities. Electrokinesis, she's able to absorb and subsequently release a tremendous amount of electricity, can literally generate lightning; she can render nearly any small piece of equipment powerless by draining any batteries, but also can drain an open power source until someone thinks to turn it off. Until she discharges this power, she is absolutely untouchable, and has caused several lockdowns in the dorms as well as issues at Black Mesa because they really do need the power going where it's meant to. Obviously, this power is extremely dangerous to living things as well as machinery and computer systems. She generally must wear a dampening device, and it's clear that she hates it. (shown in the images as arm units, originally this was in the form of an Armacham control collar, which Martin disabled and removed to help get her out of her isolation ward, and back with the rest of the kids during the Events.
Icarus Processing: No, as she is, she's almost too hard to control. It was decided to be in the best interests of everyone not to use any Icarus implants with this subject.
Skills or Profession: as a child, she was given specific downloads for targeting, bodyguard work, and offensive warfare, because look at her go. These were meant to be supplmented with social coding and behavior modification but that never got installed. Yes, they should have started with those... But since when has Armacham been anything less than short-sighted? Natascha is a 'point and shoot' kind of person. As a child, through her teenage years, and into adulthood, she's always been the go-to for specific issues. She thinks that the 'restart this generator' or 'can you fill this battery please' requests are below her, but she'll still do them, because she's resoundingly bored most of the time. But put her in a combat situation where she can let loose, and she absolutely will destroy anything that requires electricity, or can be damaged by it. She's exceptional at area of effect attacks, along with close-range bolts, but she can also refine her attacks into pinpoint zaps at a reasonable distance. Over the years she's also refined her abilities (by herself, see notes about Vorts) so that she can reduce the sheer power of an attack down to a 'mild static shock', or up to an 'overwhelming catastrophic electrical outage'. She can and has been struck by lightning, can hold on to power lines and not be damaged (though her clothing often gets fried), drain dangerous areas of ambient electricity, and spot precice locations where electric wiring is damaged or loose. It's that last one that has been of the most use for constructive behaviors, and the normally-terrified Black Mesa folks actually thank her when she fixes things or at least locates them. On the other hand, she is absolutely terrible with people. But since she has always been coded with a fear or hatred of authority figures, she was never in any danger of betraying the Pantheon, nor of joining any other groups before the Combine came. They could have used her, but she's stuck with the Pantheon out of being useful and to spite those other organizations. |

Personality: Natascha is as unpredictable and dangerous as her power. There is clearly little love lost between she and Melissa, who she believes is not nearly strong enough to give the orders around the place. She harbors an unwarranted dislike of Cricket as well, whose own powers she can all but nullify by applying her draining. Melissa however has proven that she can withstand the full force of Natascha's electric attack, while Cricket simply tries to stay clear of her. Natascha is a believer in ‘might makes right', and what she can't force on people, she rationalizes away as not being worth her while. It doesn't take an extremely clever person to learn how to manipulate her, as she is distinctly lacking in empathic abilities, and is easily swayed by almost any of the empaths in the program. Melissa has discussed – away from her of course – the possibility that Natascha might be of more use lobotomized or rendered unintelligent, since she is basically a walking, talking, angry weapon, one which might turn on her keepers or friends at any given moment. Paxton has tended to agree, but they have not brought this up with anyone else. It's a guarantee that if Natascha found out about this little plot on their part, she'd immediately blow a gasket. And probably the rest of the facility. It's also a guarantee that if they brought this up before the Events, their keepes would have agreed to do it. She was extremely visible in their investment showcases, but kept strictly under lock and key for a reason. As a student, Natascha was not a bright girl, however her raw power made her an ideal candidate for physical training. She consistently trailed the rest of her class in terms of grades, but honestly who's going to tell her she failed a Literature test? She does however excel in sports and physical duties that require speed and strength. She is not in any way as fast as Icarus-fortified students, but among those who are in the control group Natascha is far and away more powerful. If the facility had access to a roller-derby rink, she would most surely be the captain of a team. Natascha is bilingual, with Russian as her family's traditionally spoken tongue. She occasionally lapses into Russian to swear, but again who is going to stop her? As the Events unfolded, and she was given both aggressive things to do and encouragement from others, her 'overtly angry' self focused into 'angry at those things over there'. She's still an extremely volitile woman, even with a dragon to 'help'.
Events or History: but her parents were desperate to have Paragon take her from them. In point of fact, when she was an infant one of her relatives – a reasonably powerful Russian Mafia lord – had come to ‘bless' the girl. He was killed instantly when she shot her first bolts of electricity through him. Ever since then, her family has been terrified of the consequences, and thus if she manages to get control of her power, Armacham may very well be able to pay off the family's issues. When she was young, she had to be isolated in a specific ward for unruly or dangerous subjects, and during the Events it was Martin who found her and broke her out. The power for all those cells was on its own generator, and she would have died within, unable to get out. She hasn't forgotten that - but still she thinks that Martin and his sister Cricket are both 'weak'. As the Events played out, and the children needed to get rid of GLADOS, she 'started with a nuke' and blew their cover, as well as destroying what was left of Alma's Vault, where GLADOS guarded and probably slowly became corrupted, as they were attempting to retrieve things from it and the Cores beyond. Thoroughly chided by 10-year-old Paxton, Natascha was glumly forbidden from attending some further 'adventures', but still helped with major assaults and keeping the broken corridors clean of enemy aliens. Once they were outside after Armacham abandoned the facility, she could stretch her legs and beat the snot out of things with impunity. Until the Combine came, of course, at which point she was once more relegated to 'pretending to be a lighting storm or electrical anomaly'... Though once the Pantheon went on the offensive, she truly got to enjoy herself once more. She's jumped from facility to facility, absolutely out of boredom and nothing else. With the Rookery on the scene, and open combat available to her, she spends most of her time in that dimension rather than her homeworld. |

Dragon Name: Perun (Slavic thunder-god) - note that this is not his 'name' as he knows it, but it is what Natascha calls him. |
