Name: Boxy the Vortigaunt

Gender: Male

Age/DOB: unknown, over 400

Origin: Rookery Earth; Born on Xen, relocated via portal storm post-Nihilanth

Family: Unknown, can consider all Vorts his brothers, wonders where their sisters went at least on that other world?

Other: Part of the Shorepoint rescue group, along with 'Boxcar Joe' the human, helped shuttle people toward their safe destination

Height: 5'6" normally, slightly over 6' fully upright

Weight: 170, a surprsing amount of muscle and solid bone for such a skinny looking creature

Hair: none, however his nails and hooves are a violet shade, something odd that lingers from whenever he uses Antlion extract

Eyes: typical of Vorts, bright red with yellow pupil

Appearance: very brown compared to many Vorts, and with a mottled pattern that is easily visible particularly on legs and arms, face, and neck

Genetic Abilities: As all Vorts, he can access the Vortessence and produce healing or energetic bursts, commune via Flux Shifting telepathy with his kin, and see into the Vortessence for glimpses into the future, past, or other locations. Particularly he likes powering up old televisions, tools, or other electrical equipment so that they can use it, without a plug or battery.

Icarus Processing: No, that would be ridiculous

Skills or Profession: As most Vorts, Boxy was used to being a servant to Nihilanth until the very brief incursion and subsequent destruction of their captor. He was not sent to Earth as a soldier, his duties on Xen were more sedate: healing and upkeep of their devices. He has kept this skill set on Earth, and actually enjoys it a lot more because there are so many things that Humans used which can be powered up! Radios, televisions, film projectors, bank vault doors... He's always enjoyed scanning around for new things, and Rapture has given him these in spades. He doesn't necessarily know the function of any given device until he turns it on - and that's half the fun.
Personality: Curious, inquisitive, an ideal detective's partner! He and Joe discovered their shared love of old tv shows while standing in the rubble of an electronics shop in City 14, and he likes to challenge his Human friend to recite the next line of whatever show he's recalled. He can easily multitask, however, and does become serious when things are needing to be calm or focused. But he definitely enjoys his 'down time', which there's plenty of now down in Rapture.
Events or History: Though he's loyal to all Vortigaunts, he's also made a deal with the Rookery's Keenan, more than likely to be picked up on at some point in the nebulous future. However with the advent of the Rookery itself, and this other Lane coming along, even he doesn't know whether their world's version will come calling. Apparently their job in this realm was to alert Lane to the presence of his other 'chosen one' if he passed by, but what they got in return for doing so, no one knows. He and Joe have been together as a team for quite a long time, having met in City 14, been shuffled around to C17, and finally going to the outlands and meeting the Shorepoint group to help there. They trade one-liners and recite old television dialog, though few others have ever heard them doing it until they get to Rapture.

Dragon

Name: Clue
Gender: Female
Size/Shoulder/Length: Medium-Large (broad) 12'6' s / 58' l / 114' ws
Colors: Body, limbs, head to tail are all mostly a steel-green mottled with patches of icy white and slightly more sea-green, dotted with splatter of icy white; wingsails and fringe fins are equal amounts of white, mint-sea, and steel green splatter, it's hard to tell which color is the base as there's so much going on; body, face, and limbs have large patterened bioluminescent patches which can be colored and are usually brilliant mint green; eyes are light yellow
Features: Sea-Icewing hybrid, sea dominant; four broadly set very muscular limbs with 5 and 4 talon like claws, also feet have webbing between toes; 2 leathery 4-fingered wings with elbow strut and sharply curved wrist thumb claws; head is sleek with lures under chin, smooth hooked nose, two short conical horns, external ears, and gills along neck; from head to tail tip are varied long and short very sharp spikes with webbing between, also on neck and chest; body is heavy scales with large armor parts on belly, behind limbs, and overlapping on neck, under which the gills reside
Powers: Winged Flight, Water Movement; as a Sea-dominant hybrid, Clue is best under the water, but she has the ability to fly for short distances - though her wings are very large indeed, and if the conditions are right she can glide down from very high altitude and not have to land for 10 kilometers or more without flapping. She doesn't 'flap' so much as 'push' under water, with those massive wings, and uses them mainly as directional guidance and powerful hunting current producers. Her water motion is mainly in side to side strikes of her tail, which is also used for hunting; She can tolerate any depth, and is able to see in the near-darkness at the bottom of the ocean; her cold tolerance is also 'all of it', given her Icewing parent.
Verbal and Visual communication, Vortally aided; Clue is a better speaker than her brother Sleuth, though her voice is booming and she usually has to 'whisper' above the surface. Below, she can 'talk' through walls and over a reasonably large distance, aided by the luminescent patches on her body - she can be 200 meters or more away from a window and still say 'hi' if she spots someone inside Rapture's halls. Because her chosen friend is a Vortigaunt, she understands a lot more of Vort language than she lets on, using her colorful display to act as their 'flux shifting' context, and she and Boxy have their own way of communicating that way. She can speak English nearly flawlessly ... if very loud, but also Vort, and clearly Draconic and Aquatic dragon dialects.
Icy Water Breath, because she's half Icewing, she does have the ability to produce a breath weapon, which she uses to chill an area around fish, penning them in, before slamming them with a burst from her wings or tail. The breath is a fan of super-cold water, which she sends up in a sort of spiral cone, similar to how many dolphins or whales hunt penning fish in with bubble streams. She... may have gotten the idea from them.
Parentage: Seawing mother, Icewing father; sibling of Sleuth and Fogmire, possibly Depth
Origin: Adopted from Moonshimmer981 on Deviantart, Wings of Fire Tui Sutherland
Other Info: Clue likes watching those old TV shows too! She's requested an external video or film screen be put up, so that dragons can watch with their little scavenger friends while outside. Clue is often tapped for herding fish into nets, stunning them with her wings or tail, and letting the humans drag in their food.
