Captain Thaddeus Barratt, on the force for 19 years with several tours in the Army before hand. Studying as an army medic during the 70s, Thad became known as a risk taker and one who was willing to put his own life on the line to save others. Even today, some of his favorite activities utilize his rather jumpy nature to their full advantages. He loves playing paintball to relax, and has a gun collection at home.

Married for more than 20 years to wife Marie and with a 17 year old daughter Zoe, Thad's home life is stable but he worries about his daughter and her somewhat abusive boyfriend. It is clear that if she came home even once with any kind of bruises, he'd be on that boy's ass in a minute and she'd never have to worry about him again. Thad is 53 years old. He has a brother but hasn't been in contact with his family otherwise for many years. He has light colored skin, greying blond hair that is always cut short in a crewcut, and stunning blue eyes which his daughter inherited along with his burly build.

Captain Barratt's expertise in the field is in heavy equipment. He came from another force into Talon and had been on the heavy rescue squad for several years before being assigned to the bigger rigs in the EMT section. If there's anyone who knows how to fix or use the machines in the whole Station, it's Thad Barratt.
