Hitch Hiker's Log
Admiral Ambrosia Fuzzy - BACK
Visit: BISHEN REALM

When Ambrosia finally woke up, she realized that she'd made her way back to the Refuge's office area. How? She'd only been asleep for a moment, hadn't she?

It might have been the two blue-colored Cypran or was it Cyprana? It didn't matter. They probably took her back where she belonged.

Ambrosia thankfully rested, her head on a pillow of her own notes.

When she woke, it was brightly morning again. She felt a bit tired, achy. But she was elated. She'd spent only a couple days, intense days, but she'd found... Almost all of the Seals!

All but one, in fact. One... ONE!

She grumbled. When she looked at the sign about where to go, in the Realm, she slumped. "There is no other part? Nothing I missed? I saw everything, I thought!"

Indy patiently looked out of her office window, at the furry girl. She whispered, "it's out there, you just have to find it again..."

Ambrosia tilted her head, her furry ears twitching. "Hmn. Maybe I did miss something. Oh my feet! I'm going to need such a foot massage from Four-Star when I get back!"

But she thought... Where hadn't she been? What had not been done? Wait! Wait! That one dragon, the big pinkish one. That had bothered her. They had spoken but she got the feeling that she'd missed something, that maybe if she asked the right question...

So she headed back through the Caverns, where most of the big dragons dwelled. She finally met up with the big pinkish one. Actually, she was more purple, now that Ambrosia was seeing her in better light.

"Blazing Star?" Ambrosia asked, "was there something I missed yesterday? I was in such a rush to see everything, I think I must have missed something very important."

Blazing Star rose to her feet, and laughed. "You might have, at that."

They went into the library, the one place that Ambrosia had missed on her way in. There were many piles of books, devices and things, and there was --

"That's it! There it is! The first Seal!"

"Don't you mean the last seal?" Blazing star asked. "You have a whole arm full of notes about the others, don't you?"

Ambrosia looked at them, but then laughed. "Well, I do. But the Kailan's message showed that this one, Spring, was first. It was on the top, and I totally missed it."

"Well you have it now! Go back to the Kailan and tell him about your adventure. I'm sure there will be some reward for such a quick, thorough job!"

Ambrosia grinned, and hoped that no others had gotten through the Refuge already.

She made her way back, and was full of energy when she found the old Kailan resting. Of course, he didn't rest for very long, with her yammering at him about having found everything -- having sore feet, having not had a bite to eat all day, having --

"Have a seat," Axarr interrupted, "we can hear you from the hill. Four-Star and Tuz are almost done with the ship. Are you going to come along, or what?"

Dread filled Ambrosia's heart. "Leave here?" She whispered. "I can't leave, I just found all the seals!" Tears brimmed in her eyes, and she looked at the old Kailan. He had big wrinkles in his wings, and looked like he'd seen his share of fighting and strife. She wanted so much to stay, and be comforted by him, or by an egg, or by ... ANYTHING...

Story to be continued, if the Kailan wishes to give an egg to her!

After a short time, the Kailan came back, but it seemed that his wings drooped a bit, and he was sorrowful. **I am sorry, someone else beat you to it.**

Ambrosia's eyes burst forth with the tears that she had held back before. "But... but... I worked so hard..." she blubbered. Her friends tried to comfort her, but they also were looking toward their ship.

**There is another route,** the Kailan said, and Ambrosia perked up again. **There are always eggs ready to hatch. Perhaps you could see about one of those. Your devotion to this cause is admirable. You should not go away empty in hand and heart.** He paused, and to the others half-privately he added *and I can't bear any more of that sobbing...*

So he led them back to a lair, and there was a blue, shining egg. Woodstock breathed, "A girl," and the others shushed her. Ambrosia approached the egg.

"Well, every egg is in need of a good home," she said. "So I will take you -- you're well worth the trouble I've been through! And we'll be the best team ... or family... that this realm has ever seen!"

Woodstock nudged Axarr and whispered, "family issues?" And Axarr nodded deeply. The four-armed Woodstock took a longer look at Madness and grunted, "you're the only one of us without a Bishen, now. Get with the program."

Huffing, Axarr stomped off to the ship, while Ambrosia cuddled the egg. "I wonder what you'll have inside... What gift you'll get when you grow up?" She purred to the egg, her tears were finally dry and Ambrosia snuck away to find a good place to stay for the duration. Her friends, and their long journey home, would have to wait one more season.
