Dolores loved to fly, and she did so almost all the time. Even when she slept, she was all about dreams of flight. She hunted on the wing, snatching small insects from the air with her teeth, or swatting a small mammal off a branch with her deft hind paws. What she didn't like, was being confined, being unable to fly, of course. But more than that she didn't much care for beings that didn't fly or didn't like flight. She had very little time for such creatures as that dryad-rukel, nor for that wet batch. Impatient, somewhat snippy at them, Dolores was well known in their bunch for being a bit of ... well, a harpy. Though truth be told she was always the first to defend their territory and the last to leave a fight. And, she had a taste for sweets that could only be saited by sitting in on professor Shy's Cake! class, or one of the local pastry shops. She couldn't be trusted to bring a package from one of those places to its intended customer, they learned that after asking if she'd like to work for them. If it didn't involve sweet breads or cookies though, Dolores was pleased to do the job. So she wound up helping out some professors taking notes here and there across campus. She's learned of many dragons coming in the next few days... Maybe one of them will like to hang out with her, and fly the day away! *** Though it was much more than a few days later, Dolores got her wish. The MidWinter festival was in full swing, and there were a variety of dragons and smaller creatures on hand to help celebrate. First to join her was a sleek, black irridescent Ice element Hunter cat. He called himself Ricket Stormrider, though most people would soon call him merely 'Rick'. He was typical in size for his breed, around twice the size of Dolores. And, around half the size of the other Huntercat that arrived on Dolores's tree later in the day.
She was much more liquid in her color scheme, her pelt looked to be made of dark highly reflective chrome that took on all the colors around it. Her brilliant wings and halo called her out as a Holy cat, and though she disdained some of the actions of her companions, Hannah made the most of her time in the air. |
