Name: Buster Kamarov

Gender: Male, very pansexual

Age/DOB: ~18, aged, RY9

Origin: Rookery Earth born to ELL and CG/Repurposed mix parents

Family: Mother Bountell, father Orrin, grandmother Natascha, grandfather Malachite, donor splice gramma Lexie, donor great-gramma Mars

Other: As his mother is an ELL and grandfather is also based on the ELLs of the local dimension, Buster has a lot of connectivity to them

Height: 5'7", considerably shorter than he seems when you're even standing next to him

Weight: 125* Icarus treatments and inherited alterations reduce his weight by a lot, because he's very muscular and strong, quite cut, while he has some amount of 'padding', he is an absolute brick of a man

Hair: dark brown with very faint greenish tint, tight natural afro usually kept back as shown but he also lets people do it up in braids or styles. If he lets it out fully ... well, it's massive, and he doesn't tend to do that because it looks a bit silly trying to fit through doorways

Eyes: pale green-hazel, equally amber and minty greens, heavy lids and sexy smolder brows

Appearance: medium to dark brown skin, no markings or scars, he is drop dead gorgeous as is a trait from his dad's side as well as mom's; thick lips and a strong nose; has a resonant voice and isn't afraid to use it; he is much more casual than his dad but he is very... um. presentable. when unencumberd by clothing; tends to wear the Icarus undergarment with no pants, and a nice HEV orange shirt or accessories, yes he is used to people watching his ass as he walks away, why do you think he does it?

Icarus Processing: yes, along with the inherited volume of three prior generations of splices and processing this has combined to produce a powerful physical presence as well as dramatically improving his Vortal power. His body is so much stronger than it looks and it looks strong as fuck. He's about 4x stronger than a normal man, and around 2x faster. He is also exceptionally graceful, those muscles aren't bulky, so he uses that to his advantage and can literally dance around enemy fire. His senses are also enhanced a bit, though not quite as much as his mother's, he can see clearly in dim light and take in details at a glance around 50 meters, and while he does see a little more colors than normal he isn't gifted with her tetrachroma. (He does like using words she's come up with for the colors he can describe that are beyond typical levels.) He can actually sense electricity though, he describes it as a mixture of scent and vibration, when around 5 meters away from a source of electricity including life forms larger than a dog. These are bodily mutations, rather than Vortal power.
Genetic Abilities: Because both of his parents are basically walking explosions, it stands to reason that Buster - aptly named - is able to do so as well. He combines the strong energy conversion that Bountell uses with the electrical bursts of Orrin, and the outcome is... well, dramatic to say the least. He can lob electrically charged plasma pulses into the air, arcing over a location brightly, and they will explode on contact with solid material - a person sized amount, so an antlion would trigger it but not a houndeye. The subsequent explosion however will electrically rip through things and jolt them even if the explosive blast doesn't kill them. Doing this in a narrow hallway will result in an incredibly loud noise, completely fried electronics, and more than likely a power outage. Oh yeah, and whatever that electric pulse hits, if it doesn't outright die, will likely be rendered immobile for hours, if it's got a conscious brain that brain will not function properly again, ever. He can 'power up' items, Vortally infusing energy into them, and use them on a delay like grenades or traps. Laying his hands on a living thing in this manner will cause it to physically explode, so he avoids doing that, as it's pretty gross... With sufficient downloaded skill information, he is able to control these powers to an extent, but his 'fireworks' and other such visuals still do quite a bit of damage, so Buster remains more of a combat oriented sort than an entertainer. He can utilize electricity to bolster his power, and is entirely immune to damage by electricity in any way, so he will just dip his hand into an electrified puddle, and siphon the energy from whatever source is nearby until it's safe - and then use that electricity to shoot at the oncoming Combine... He has accurate blasts of electrical energy, up to about 25 meters for the most effective use into a group: it arcs from person to person or into the electronic equipment nearest (under 3 meters) and will keep disrupting bodies and computer panels until there's nothing in reach. If there is something powering those panels, it shorts - but also increases the level of damage being done overall too. He does have a minor Vortal suite of telepathy and empathy, though they're much more of use up close and personal. His mind is easily reached by others, though he struggles to send any relevant information on his own.
Skills or Profession: as a scout and front line combatant, he is superb. He has standard skill downloads for most subjects but concentrates his own efforts on learning pathways, engineering feats of destruction, and the like. He's gotten very good with discovering weak spots in buildings, roads, and Combine walls. Buster has studied with Wilson and Geoff for physical combat and they both think it's hilarious that he can then add actual explosives to his hits. He is quite good at distracting and pincer style tactics on the battlefield, pushing enemies to the front or herding them into dangerous traps. And he loves traps too, mainly electrical ones which he's left at the suggestion of gramma Mars. Aside from being stunning in the air and in combat, he's equally stunning and struts about with the intention of getting all the attention he deserves. He can wear nearly anything, catwalk with the best (meaning: dad...), and flirt like crazy.
Personality: He flirts like crazy. He absolutely loves destroying Combine, and 'doing his part' for the future generartions... If he was Pernese, he'd have been a bronze-rider.
Events or History: no one really knows whether his parents were attracted to each other because someone suggested it, or because explosions, but... explosions. Though mom tends to reside over at the Grounds, and dad is down in North Aperture's shafts, they've decided to center in the Rookery proper, because that's where most of the action is launched.

Dragon

Name: Ferreseth
Gender: Female
Size/Shoulder/Length: Small 7'4 biped / 30' l / 49' ws
Colors: Cloudy body lilac and slate; Point wings golden with peach and silver; Crest and claws gold; eyes blue
Features: *vary by family member; Scaled hide, bipedal; smooth face, high Ryslen crest, 3+ visible wing fingers; smooth tail
Powers: Winged Flight, Though small Ferre is quite nimble and fast in the air. She carries only her rider, maybe some of his gear, but with him on her back she can still do loops and quick turns, much like a quarterhorse. She is considerably more durable in flights than most her size, and likes remaining around in the air watching battles and doing spotting for any stragglers trying to leave.
Teleportation (2) she is able to use combat teleportation to a limited degree, jumping about 50 meters at a time and can do this numerous hops before tiring out, occasionally doing it in battles with flying enemies. However, her main use of this power comes from the attack (5) that she can use with her wings. She has a localized teleport power that allows her to fold around an enemy with those wings, and send them elsewhere. Not between, not to the void, but somewhere that they simply never return from. Obviously she cannot do this to larger creatures or enemies, but whatever she can completely overtake with her wings and mantle it, is done for. She must be absolutely certain on the battlefield where her wings are, because she will not risk sending any allies on this one-way journey. Even the Vortally-strong teleporters in the Rookery don't know exactly where they might wind up for any experimentation. She also has a minor ability with tuck space (1) which allows her to hold on to things that might otherwise have fallen from her rider's person. She has a collection of hair ties, combs, small guns, fireworks, lighters, and the like, from their energetic flight, but she cannot really do much more than 'cling to them' and keep them safe until they land, on which point it all drops to the ground around them.
Communication, extremely adept with both verbal and Vortal speech, Ferreseth can speak clearly in Vort and English, she does know a little bit of a smattering of other human tongues, as well as a bit of Draconic and other imported languages but not enough to really be conversant in them. Her bond with Buster is unlimited, but she also can speak to other telepathically able minds up to 15 miles away, and has a decent sense of which people to nudge toward her rider. Strongly able to predict outcomes and directions, particularly in battle or immediate events, Ferre uses her teleportation unerringly well, and has a very strong memory for locations which borders on Vortal. If she finds something, she can always imprint the location straight into someone's mind, clearly and accurately. Surprisingly she is also able to comprehend written languages and code, though she's no programmer she likes playing word puzzles and enjoys reading poetry or haiku. She can tell what language something is written in, though perhaps not understand all the words, if it's not among the languages she speaks, but with her memory she can cross-reference what she's spotted before, and remembers what script goes with what language, let alone the Vortal component of understanding the content on a deeper level.
Star Wake, Ferreseth is visible, and likes it that way. (6) She is super-Shiny and leaves a trail when needed of incredibly bright gold and silver particles. She can use this to imitate explosions, without sound or damage, illuminate an area if it's near the ground, and blind or dazzle enemies with it in combat. Anything that has a visible-light detection (along with a little in both directions of the spectrum) can be fully blinded if she really wants, or just have spots of static as an afterimage for hours. On the other hand, while she has used this ability to turn invisible to the naked eye a couple times, she is not really that good with it, as when she moves it shatters the illusion, so she doesn't bother. It is something her family can do, that's about the end of it.
Parentage: Starpath and Alendreth, with other siblings among the Rookery and Protectorate
Origin: Hallowed Silk clutch
Other Info: As endearing and charming as her rider, and always looking out for him. She knows he doesn't need protection, so she's mostly watching his interactions, and if someone seems skeevy she'll let him know - sometimes verbally, loudly, while that person is right there...
