Name: Freedom Gender: Female, Free Love! Age/DOB: 24, unknown Origin: Aperturth, Chicago IL Family: brother Remi, no other older family, certainly has 2 children among the Grounds; Godiva with Gabriel; Felix with Lore, but has difficulty parenting with any concentration Other: She literally ran away to join the circus when they were younger. That circus, well, Carnival, ran into the hippies on Lane's mansion grounds, wheee! Height: 5'5" Weight: 120, petite but with pleasant curves and an hourglass figure Hair: charcoal black with blue tint, fine, slightly more wavy than Remi's but done up with the Carnie's special goop that keeps those 'horns' up, she absolutely loves having access to things like that and will change her hair shape with it every couple weeks, without it she is the kind of girl who would have 'white girl dreds' and wear them superbly well Eyes: pale bronze brown, as light in tone as her brother's are steel shaded, hers are the browner side where his are blue; narrow, always scheming about what to do next Appearance: tan skinned with tiny scars but none that are very obviously from one event; wears revealing clothing that is incredibly impractical for being out here shut up Remi I'll wear what I want to! and never seems to get cold Genetic Abilities: unknown, but it's very possible that she's resistant to sickness and disease, given that she has come through the fields at the Mansion positively covered in ticks and whatever else, and never even had a raised bite or signs of disease. That's pretty good, because between her and Passion any given disease would spread quickly among the group... She does seem to be a weirdness magnet, or at least a trouble magnet... Icarus Processing: none, she's certainly considered it even though it seems absurdly painful - what if she could just walk right into things? Fire? scalding water? frozen rooms or electrified floors? The places she could go if she didn't have to worry about getting hurt? |

Skills or Profession: Though she wasn't born to the Carnival she absolutely fits in. She's had training and practice with simple Carnie tricks with the crowd, distraction (she's the distraction), even acrobatics, which she's pretty good with. In this world with dragons and aliens invading, those skills have mainly served her to evade threats, rather than gain money, but in the new world money doesn't even matter, so they can concentrate on other things. Coffee! Performances in the Rookery! Even better, performances in the Mansion, which she does admit, she likes sleeping in a proper bed now and then. That whole hobo schtick was getting a little old... But the adorable gypsy wagons!
Personality: A sneak, a flirt, a danger addict, able to convince almost anyone to do anything she asks just by a sway and a flutter. Even if she gets hurt, which is rare, she'll be brave enough to do stunts, will try anything at least once or twice before deciding it is or isn't for her. She is used to getting her way, however, though she does defer to people with experience and skill in terms of stunts or Carnie work. She's not stupid after all.
Events or History: She was not quite a legal adult when she decided that the life of a workaday wage slave was not for her. At sixteen, she told her brother Remi that she was going to pack her bags and join that Carnival that was in town - she'd spoken to them already, and had a lot of talent for presentation, they could use her there. He didn't quite panic, but he definitely fought his urge to blurt all this out to their parents... Instead, choosing to pack up and come with her. She's dragged him everywhere before and since, why not? They both earned their keep, though only Freedom was happy about it all. And then, the... well, whatever happened to the sky changed the world radically, killed off a lot of people with the subsequent alien invasion, and meant that the Carnival had to flee somewhere they could hold up until things... got better? They followed the train tracks, as was their usual, and found a group of hippies already living in the expansive and overgrown Lane Mansion grounds. Then that guy - Lane, or someone like him if the photos in the mansion there were correct - presented them with an opportunity. It's slightly less safe in bursts at the Rookery grounds, but it's far, far cooler, because there are dragons. Though Window often remains near the Mansion by nature, because there are refugee kids and younger hippies to tend to, he will follow Freedom around on jaunts through the vinyard and Dragon Tower 13 there. |
