Genetic Abilities: Strong Molecular Acceleration, burns small objects easily (those which can ignite with an open flame will do so, he has to concentrate on the air around anything else), propels larger ones - objects up to around 30 pounds can be moved at up to 80 miles per hour, down to a pen or knife up to 300 mph! Telekinesis, can lift around 500 lbs but probably not move it, he can break his own fall if needed, but can't really lift himself because well, it requires molecular agitation and he doesn't want to wind up exploding himself. Minor TK manipulation, he can sense through his power, via objects that he's tossed around, so he can lift a rock or broken office chair and power it into another room nearby, then listen in on it for any Combine or animal life; also has the standard psychic suite of telepathy (good for singling out strong minds to ping them, better nearby), empathy (detects mood within around 20 meters), and Vortal sight, he actually sees a strong glow around nearly anyone with Vortal power, though he's always seen this way and has no idea that other people can't always detect it.

Icarus Processing: Yes at the age of 3, radically improved his molecular acceleration ability, reduced weight and increased physical regeneration, he heals around 2.5 times faster than a normal person

Skills or Profession: Has strong downloaded skillsets for defense, tactics, infiltration and urban invasion. He can often take a few glances into a room or area and know its best-defended points as well as its weakest. He is also quite good with hand to hand combat, but prefers to remain at a distance and use his powers to snipe enemies - they rarely see it coming, since he doesn't carry weapons. All he needs is some rubble. He is basically the masculine counterpart to Isabella's telekinetic infiltration. He wasn't given the same 'seduction/manipulation' skillsets as she was, but that doesn't mean he isn't good at that - he's attractive and he knows it, and is willing to use that.
Personality: Careful and observant, sensible, and well-trained to be able to exploit that. Though his power says he's a hot-head, he's anything but. He knows better from experience, that haphazardly setting things on fire can lead to disaster pretty quickly. He is fully capable of ending a fight that someone else has started - and does so on a regular basis.

Events or History: Among the stronger children in the EC when the Events occurred, Ruben helped with defeating GLADOS and freeing the kids from her dangers. However, he saw first hand the damage possible with accidental explosions - he didn't dare use his powers after GLADOS ripped rockets through the ammunition-filled corner of her chamber, and blew his friend Alonzo to pieces with it. Alonzo's death hit him pretty hard, as it did all who were there directly, but instead of being afraid to work on things, he turned it to his advantage. He is ruthless toward the Combine or any other menace, but he makes every effort to diffuse situations before they become dangerous for anyone he cares about.

He flips between Black Mesa and the Pantheon's locations in order to help defend them until the Rookery is established, at which point he resides full time at the Rookery itself. He travels quite far and wide in the ruins of Cities near Black Mesa, on his seek-and-destroy missions.
