Earth Blessed - Sayf uses a specific gemstone which is set into a pommel, that pommel can be affixed to a variety of weapons or items, making it extremely flexible for use in most situations, not just while she's on a job. This gem seems to allow her to touch stone, metal, sand, dirt, rocks, concrete, even glass and brick - anything that came from the ground in some way - and manipulate it in a nearby volume. That volume can be substantial, or minuscule depending on the needs. She can force walls to crack open and create doorways, or seal arches using the existing materials, as well as gently sink into loose sand or dirt to become all but one with it. The various thicknesses or crystaline structure of any earth-based material will dictate how easy or quickly she can work with it - alloy metals and hard crystal structures are slow and brittle and difficult to work on, while softer metals, ores, and less structured or more flawed crystals can be changed or reshaped with more ease. She can purify ores and crystals, with effort, and combine ores together to create impossibly seamless alloys. The abilities below are some that she's used regularly enough to teach to others with similar powers
-- Earthmover, as implied, this takes a volume of simple dirt, sand, pebbles, or rocks and shoves it aside. It can appear as if being pulled up by a machine or invisible hands, and piled up similarly to making a giant (or regular sized) sand castle with cups and shovels. She can do this with anything from fine pumice powder on up through small stones (that fit in the palm of your hand), preferring sand and clay dirt and gravel, to either extreme. This can also be used to clean the air, as she can selectively pull the particles of grit out of it, but this won't necessarily take pollution or smoke away
-- Pass Through Solid Rock, she can use this to escape notice, or to lurk for up to 15 minutes without moving (or, actually, breathing) to observe nearby areas. She is effectively part of a wall or stone, as long as it's big enough to allow her to fit 'into' its volume she cannot be discerned except by those with magical or other senses
-- Sense Through The Crystal, she's good friends with some folks who have interests in the arcane arts, as well as just a batch of hippies and rock collectors. They've helped place beautiful crystal artworks in some important places, and she can tap those crystals with her own power even at distances up to 2 thousand miles. The view is small, or at least 'as small as the crystal is on its biggest side'. So she may take her pommel and stick it up to her face like a spy glass, only she's seeing the inside of the president's office, or a drug dealer's hip living room salt lamp. Unless you can sense this kind of magic or psionics, the other end sees or notices nothing at all, the casting lasts around 2 minutes but can immediately be recast, and she can faintly hear sounds that are nearby as well, but not clearly
-- Shatterstone, if something is made of brittle rock or crystal, or even some metals, she can peel it apart at a distance up to 10 meters just by looking at it hard. This works particularly well on glass, pottery, bricks, or anything that has an existing fracture through it like a half-broken sword or a lock that's got rust through it. Exploiting its existing or natural fracturing, this suddenly happens in the blink of an eye though slower through more 'healthy' or softer materials. She can still fracture basically anything made of earthen elemental material, but it would be sad to watch crumble rather than the explosive force that this normally allows. Conversely she will need a lot of concentration and effort but she can repair such items as well, so long as nearly all the material is still nearby (so if a bunch of pieces are missing from that pot, it simply won't work, it will not appear to have lots of holes)
-- Steel's Embrace, for a short period, usually around 5 minutes, Sayf can effectively become metal, hardened steel through gleaming gold, or even obsidian or glass. She is exactly as mobile and durable as normal, but is extremely difficult to harm, see, or grab, given whatever substance she's chosen to emulate. She must use not only the gem in the pommel, but a fragment of that material, so she has a pouch with a selection of such small stones, pieces of glass and obsidian, rocks, and the like for just that occasion. She's tried doing this with sand, it did not work well and she won't do that again |

Geology +5 An expert-level with identifying anything mineral in nature, at just barely a glance. If she can touch the item, even easier! The only things she's ever had trouble with have been offworld items or moonrocks, if it didn't specifically come from Twoarth (or an Earth) the power will only hint at what it is, rather than give her the right and perfect description. She's very intrigued by other worlds' worth of items, on the other hand, so when Lane has brought Xenian crystals to his class or when Ainea shows off a piece of an incredibly magical 'Palace Crystal' Sayf actually gets very excited! Something new!
Archaeology and Geography +3 Well-traveled, check. Hides in caves and under stone, check. Tomb Raiding? Well you could call it that but she rarely takes things from their proper places, only wants to categorize and register them! Plus she can get into tombs that no one has seen in literally thousands of years, and doesn't need to breathe to do it! She is very good with desert based locations, or places which have either become or been terraformed away from being deserts, and can rattle off a lot of detailed historical information. She tends to stay out of current world politics (and aside from running up to save people in earthquakes, tends to stay out of those countries, period) so most of her knowledge is concentrated on antiquities |

Swordsmanship +4 She is both delicate and deadly with any bladed weapon, though she can also use spears and axes if pressed. The incredible sharpness and shape of any blade she uses can confuse or even completely obscure its true shape and nature, so forensics teams have a very difficult time figuring out what weapon may have been used beyond 'a sharp one'
Language Use +3 As a world traveler she does know just enough about virtually any language to get by as a tourist. She has much more extensive knowlege and fluently speaks in Arabic, Urdu, Hebrew, French, English, and a few Furside dialects particularly from the Kangaroo and Thylacine kin in Fur-side Australia (lots of desert, lots of interesting people in the desert!)
Evasive As Hell +3 No she won't easily open up about her past, nor her plans. That doesn't mean you should take it as a challenge, she is still an assassin and you do know that, right? She'll tell you that once. After that, you're on your own... |
