Emergency Medical Technicians - EMT and Paramedics

This team is most known for its life saving techniques and assisting injured people to hospitals. That is not where it ends, though. They use the "jaws of life" device on occasion - a heavy piece of machinery that not everyone is qualified to use. Their duties include resuscitating victims, administering first aid and subsequent care on the way to the hospital, checking vitals, and in some cases emergency surgery. Not every member of this six-person team is authorized for such difficult and important work, however.

Each team member has a specialty, from working the machines, driving duties, and medical procedures. This is a team made up of the most widely distributed age groups as well as ethnic diversity, in the Station. This team also has a full time medical professional for analyzing injuries and patients problems, set there after an incident a few years back with a lawyer who had decided that the Paramedics did "too much" to help his client - that the client is alive and well today seems to be a slap in their face, it almost looked like that lawyer wanted him to die in the van.

Their equipment is stored aboard three vehicles. The Crash Rescue rig, which is used for separating vehicles and heavy objects (a big vehicle like this deserves a big name - Moose, especially appropriate considering that the Jaws of Life which it supports often stand out like a big rack!); the Rescue Team Rig, a long wide truck with a smaller version of the Jaws, not to mention space for wounded in the back and a complete set of medical equipment (this vehicle is a new one, but the team is considering calling it 'Prongs', but that may just be because one of the paramedics is a huge Harry Potter fan); and the smaller Paramedic Unit van (which has for some reason been christened "Lenore", an obscure reference to Poe's Raven - apparently one old man who had been revived in its closely walled chamber claimed 'nevermore' would he be caught without help. The name stuck.).
