Name: Emil Andressen

Gender: Male, straight

Age/DOB: ~15, aged, 2024

Origin: Repurposed Earth AAEC

Family: Eventually is the father of Venus, with the Color Guard's Orchid; Is tapped for the splicing of another ELL later on, in RY10 he provides base DNA for Korivell

Other: It is highly likely that he is the result of experimentation done on Zonie's DNA, with some odd similarities to Melissa's - and she's concerned that it was via yet more highly unwelcome samples of Aristide; however it's a good bet that their similarities don't end at memory and eye color

Height: 5'7"

Weight: 130* Icarus lightened weight, improved health

Hair: brown-black, curly but kept cropped quite short, otherwise winds up with a jew-fro

Eyes: golden orange, highly unusual coloration from birth, but indicative that he and Melissa may share some amount of genetics; usually a bit surprised or squinting in thought, under bushy eyebrows

Appearance: ruddy skin with prominent tattoos and several scars - his skin heals by concentration, so he's purposefully kept these items visible and his skin 'knows' not to re-heal over certain spots, usually has stubble; large nose, stocky build though he's lighter than he looks; keeps pretty much everything he owns in that bag on his back, for whatever reason

Genetic Abilities: while he has a modest set of Vortal senses, empathy at close range, telepathy with other Vortal minds within about 100 meters, what he's best at is chemistry. Sensing compounds, reading 'smells', he has trained his nose to be able to sniff out individual chemicals, and Zonie is damn proud of him for it. He often does the same thing Zonie did: taste this or that, see if it's active in any way. And even if it was, eat it. He suffers no ill effects from consuming, ingesting, inhaling, or being exposed even by blood to most if not all toxins and biohazards. Usually he can tell the difference between a man-made compound and a naturally occurring one, just by looking at it under a microscope. His mind is quick with math and sciences, so quick in fact that some people think he's just making up answers as he goes along. The upshot of all of this is that he can and does don an Icarus suit for modesty, and wades out into unhealthy locations in order to scavenge or rescue people. He doesn't carry diseases, even after dire exposure.

Icarus Processing: Yes, at age 3, which strongly affected his metabolism and health. He is extremely tolerant of chemicals that would normally be toxic or noxious, including the ability to consume effectively anything and still be fine. He is around twice as strong as a typical human, and his metabolism can be controlled thanks to the refinement of his powers. He is able to go without food or water for quite a while (up to a full week for both), or eat basically... glass and toxic sludge, and be just fine. He will heal from most superficial wounds within hours, and doesn't seem to have any side effects from chewing glass or swallowing acid. Also of note, he has had the Pythagoras treatments as well as Icarus, though it took a while longer than normal for them to truly kick in, mostly because by that time he'd already been given Icarus - making it difficult for his body to realize that it was the right chemical to ingest... This has led to him having a keenly strong memory, particularly for math and calculations.
Skills or Profession: he would have been part of the biochemical and hazardous research teams Armacham was putting together, there was stored information about his potential uses in toxic cleanup and the like. It's what he does now, only no one pays him for it!? Also he loves science. He and Veronica go back and forth with math problems that sometimes don't even have a single number written in them... If the Lambda team needs help making sure that their calculations are correct and she's not on hand, he's right there looking at the output numbers. He can read so quickly that all they need to do is flash on a screen and he'll remember what spot and line of code they occurred on.
Personality: all these things seem to make him a bit unapproachable, in that he's usually actively 'braining'. Regular folks just... don't come near him. He's friendly, upbeat, he's just quite intense and almost always in his own little world. He's a little weird, but hey some chicks like that in a guy

Events or History: As with most of the Reborn crew, Emil had a rocky start back in the late 90s - a start that finished with him dying at the age of 2 just before the gasses overwhelmed the technicians running an experiment on him could vacate the chamber. He was originally born and died before most of the current Pantheon was around, in fact. Emil was partly why Armacham rearranged the Enrichment Center's track-based room system to not allow access to neurotoxins without significant precautions, including 'wait until Icarus processing confirmed resistance'. Zonie would have had a little brother, if not for that. But now he's pretty happy with the one he's got.

Emil resides at the Rookery, where he can easily reach numerous other locales to do rescue or cleanup work as well as to aid the bulk of the science going on there.

Dragon

Name: Chrysolite
Gender: Female
Size/Shoulder/Length: Medium 9'3" s / 44' l / 78' ws
Colors: neck, chest, belly, under tail to tip, backs of limbs graded aqua blue through whitish blue; face, limb scales strong grassy green; arm wings slightly faded teal green; armor on face, neck, limbs, back, body and wings strong green with fades to nearly black on wing arms, and nearly aqua on legs; horns, claws, back ridges and spikes black; wingsails medium green with white frosted edges, spotted with white and pale lime green star patterns; eyes bright green; inset (*) scale dots vibrant aqua; tongue medium green
Features: Nightwing, oddly colored though, so it's possible there's a Seawing somewhere in her line
Powers: Winged Flight, Chrysolite is decent in the air for an all-occasion dragon. While she's not the fastest, nor the most hardy, nor even the most flexible in the air, she will do her best and keeps up with the pack overall. She does very well while swimming, again hinting that she's got a bit of Seawing in her.
Communication, as Nightwings go, she's quite talented Vortally. She can sense and communicate with any organic intelligent creature, from Vorts to dragons, within about 500 meters. Closer up she can detect intentions though that mainly works on dragons rather than humans or Vorts. She can speak English, Draconic, Aquatic, and quite a bit of both Vort and Latin, thanks to her little human friend's interest in scientific studies.
(*) Caustic Breath, something strange happened to Chrysolite's fire breath, in that it doesn't ignite at all. However, she can lay down a thick gooey substance that will roil and produce harsh burns, chew through organic matter within minutes, and even eat through Combine metals given time and occasional re-application. This substance is only accurate to around 30 meters, after that it just kind of splats to the ground. Which is sort of the point anyway, most of the time. She's donated this substance to the scientists to experiment with, and they've found a lot of great uses for it. If the pile of this goo is left to sit in an inert area, such as with nothing left to corrode, or in cement or concrete, it will eventually just evaporate within about 3 days. If it still has something to interact with, however, it can continue bubbling and hissing like an extremely slow wildfire that breaks down anything it touches, for nearly a week before effectively weakening to nothing. She can also produce a mist of it, which she's used as a defensive mechanism while they're on their way in and out of an area for cleanup or rescues - the combine creatures that encounter it will get a nasty surprise, what with thousands of pinprick holes chewed in their armor and face plates. It's not very effective on the same metals, it will certainly etch dark pits into almost anything, but it becomes inert rather quickly, within half an hour, so this is an emergency method only. Obviously there are plenty of invasive creatures that aren't affected in the slightest by this stuff, either way it comes out of her.
Resistance to Caustic Materials, and the flip side is that she, like her human friend, is quite immune to the effects of such nasty materials. She can almost fully immerse herself in a toxic spill, though she does get a little irritated by the smell and claims it burns her eyes. She cannot ingest it, or digest this material, but she withstands it easily externally. She can use this to her advantage as well, particularly during pursuit by Combine forces: if they're dumb enough to get close to the edge of a large amount of liquid, she can whip up her wings and tail, to simply spray it everywhere without the need for her breath weapon.
Parentage: Unknown Nightwings, though as above one or more of her great-grandparents is likely a Seawing; is the mother of Houdini and Mesmer, with Malaise the Leafwing
Origin: Adopted from Moonshimmer981 on Deviantart, lines by Luna-The-Nightwing, WoF by Tui Sutherland
Other Info: Though not quite as quick or brainy as her human companion, Chrysolite is certainly smarter than most dragons and highly tech-minded. She relishes the time they spend at any given research site, and does enjoy going up to the Borealis as well as down into Rapture. Though she can't breathe under water, or hold her breath longer than any given Nightwing, she doesn't feel in any way uncomfortable in either location.
