Weight: 180, broad torso and shoulders, evenly muscled and quite a lot stronger than he actually looks, and that's saying something, notably his weight is hardly altered by the Icarus treatments, though he is much stronger than typical for his weight and build
Hair: very dark brown, but not black particularly in sunlight, kept short and swept back with prominent widows peak, is a little longer than full military cut, but has rarely if ever been below his ears
Eyes: vary, but generally a pale steel blue shade with a medium blue rim, judgemental and almost always peering into Vortal spaces, also can see out of literally anyone else's eyes; tend to pick up the color and lighting of the surroundings, not 'reflective' but visibly appearing to emulate the light and particularly any fires are apt to make his eyes look a copper-red shade
Appearance: Caucasian, medium to light skin with plentiful moles, a specific scar over his lip incurred by a childhood injury, and numerous other scars and blemishes from daily life; he has heavy stubble, but does not wear facial hair; Strongly muscular and broad bodied, not as lean and tall as his brother Geoff. Has an extraordinarily deep and gravelly voice that tends to send young women into swooning, and anyone else onto high alert. Paxton is an exceptionally intelligent man whose vocabulary and extensive literary knowledge has expanded his overall demeanor, he's very dramatic at times and his body language shows it. He prefers to wear sharply cut military outfits when formal, but also has a set of well-worn motorcycle leathers with creamy-green canvas pants, a red and black leather jacket with gold trim, and massive leather boots. At all times, he has his sidearm, a .50 weapon that even his brother admits is a bit over the top.
Quite frequently as an adult, he has, as shown in the images, a burning, red-black aura reflective of his ability with fire. His teleportation also is quite distinct (see below).
Icarus Processing: Yes, at age 4, the process increased his basic physical strength and durability, as well as speed of motion. He is roughly twice as strong and fast as a normal person. However, the process was far more successful regarding his Vortal abilities. Of note, Paxton and Geoffery are the only first-generation Origin subjects to have an Icarus-treated parent, Wilson Carver. |

Genetic Abilities - Pre-Inheritance: Psychic link - Paxton is currently the most adept individual alive able to take hold of another person, or even creature if need be, and utilize its body as his own for brief periods. Ideally this comes in the form of his Replica Soldiers, clones that have been produced from his dna, and stripped of their deeper humanity (they have no personality, indeed they don't even function without some kernel of Paxton's mind in them). Set in their dozens of containers scattered around the Enrichment Center, Black Mesa, and other locations, Paxton can sense and act through them at will. He is the ideal 'Psychic Commander', which Armacham was going to market to whoever could afford him on their battlefield. By the time his Icarus treatment had settled fully into his bones, Paxton was able to connect with and sense through a dozen of these soldiers. Post-Inheritance, that number is effectively unlimited, given his particular soldiers availability. Multiple eyes are something that Pax actually requires, most of the time he feels 'naked and alone' if he doesn't have at least one or two of his Replicas nearby to watch over him. He can cast his sight and senses through a Vortal web of these Replicas, on a constant and flowing basis, and while they aren't 'individuals', he has been doing this for so long they can hold up parts of conversations that he's not even remotely interested in ("get the coffee maker off that shelf please" "your coffee sucks, though" "shut up pax").
Empathic Link - Paxton has always shared a uniquely strong bond with his brother Geoff, which comes as a completely naturally occurring effect of their genes. However, he can also sense strongly those around him, though he rarely uses their emotional input to make decisions. He prefers to imprint emotions on them, and does so shamelessly. He has a strong bond with Melissa as well, in the form of the Sanctuary that he's been allowed to create in her own Vortal mind.
Telepathy - he is highly tuned to Vortal thoughts, and can easily speak into most of the Pantheon's minds directly. He tends not to force this on people who aren't aware of his abilities, and uses it when silence is needed.
Pyrokinetics - Pax's ability to burn and cause heat damage developed in his early teen years, something that clearly distinguishes him from his brother, and was directly inherited from Alma. He mostly uses it for effect, visually as above, he tends to flash with fire as an aura now and then, but also he can just use it to burn holes in things that otherwise would be in his way. He takes things apart at a highly accelerated speed - molecularly, like Lane does, only he enjoys it far more than the elder.
Teleportation - A skill only learned after he fully accepted his Inheritance, being the Mystery's heir and living up to his Vortal name, Paxton can move mostly short distances (under 10km) carrying himself and one other at most. With practice he has been able to move far greater distances, but it is exhausting, and he mainly does it in close quarters combat or for effect. His teleport visually appears to be a fluttering of ashes and flames, both delicate and dangerous looking. While he pretends to be able to teleport to distant locations, he is actually cheating and uses exactly the same kind of 'Xen relay' as the physical machinery at Black Mesa does - he goes to Xen first, and then to another spot. This would wear him out, but after quite a bit of practice he can reach several distinct locations quickly and easily. Those locations can be up to 2000 miles distant.
Interdimensional Teleportation - in addition to moving in one dimension, Paxton has mastered moving between Vortal realms, and into different worlds entirely. This was not originally something he could control, when he was attacked by Alma - signalling the Synchronicity Event at the Enrichment Center - his mind fled his body, leaving it entirely uninhabited but alive, for nearly a week. He went to Xen, where he was named by Noah the Vort, and sent back to his body by him as well. This was an instinct for him, since Xen belongs to his ancestor, and is 'part of him'.
Vortal Space Creation - Melissa hosts a unique locale that Paxton has carved out of her living lih, regneration has its weird side effects. A location called the Sanctuary, Paxton stores everything he's ever read or watched - that he deems of use or interest anyway - in a large underground styled library, under a park-like location featuring a gazebo and fanciful treeline. Where Wilson's constructs are generally artistic and pleasant, and Lane's are sterile and somewhat lacking in detail, Paxton's is actually alive, given where it is.
Memory Ingestion - though it's entirely distasteful for him to do so, 'learned' from Alma as it was, Pax can physically consume human flesh and read the Vortal imprint of the person's life. When he awoke from his week long coma during the Synchronicity, he found three already-dead scientists and began eating them due to madness and hunger. He has only consumed one or two others in the long while he's been alive, and Melissa is one of them - she regenerates, and had 'secrets only he could see' with it. He knows very well that in other dimensions where they all exist in doppelganger form (or they think 'we' are, he says) that this becomes a mainstay of his ability set. He is determined in this world not to go that direction. |
A note on Paxton's abilities: It's almost impossible to tell where his powers come from, given that on one side he's Convocation, otherwordly beings of energy and power, and on the other... Alma Wade's son. She herself had a great number of abilities that were remarkably similar to those found among the Convocation - teleportation, molecular agitation, nightmare inducing telepathy and empathic controls, and the like. Keenan's use of some of these powers is much more specific or restricted than Alma's, but in point of fact they both have unwound people's molecules to destroy them. They both teleport across dimensional barriers, and certainly use implanted dreaming and suggested whispers to get their point across. The intent to which they each use those abilities is where they differ, and where Paxton has ridden a very narrow line. He prefers the flashier teleportation that his mother showed, he enjoys the subtlty of manipulating people at a distance without pain or discomfort (... not that he jumps into people's minds without pain or discomfort, but that he can be much more subtle about it than Alma). |
Skills or Profession: With Geoff, he was given a profound number of implanted skills dealing with warfare, tactics, and combat in general. All of these were reinforced constantly from the time he was 10 until the current era. He can pick up virtually any gun, melee weapon, or even random hunks of rebar, and use it as a weapon - moreover he can command his Replicas to do that. After establishing contact with Black Mesa, he and Mars as well as Nigel, talk tactics and improvements to their respective defensive systems. He is an adept social engineer, but that's partly because he can force emotional changes to groups, still largely due to his eloquent and well-educated demeanor. Paxton reads a lot. Surprisingly more than you'd ever imagine a warrior to do. He is not a technical nor mathematics whiz, he tends to stay away from science, preferring both literature and philosophy over hard sciences. Paxton is extraordinary at 'cheating the system' - because he has eyes everywhere, and has always manipulated his Replicas in a way that allow people to believe he's either not there or standing with them, he can spy and chat with equal ability. Playing chess against Paxton is complicated, as he's quite good at it on his own, but he still cheats. How? By setting up a long-term game with the Mystery, that same table set up elsewhere, where he plays Keenan's moves against Zoell. The ELL is better than both of them, so reasonably he uses her skills against the Mystery... and his against hers. |
Personality:
Paxton both lives up to his name, and is in direct opposition to it. He is a weapon, yet he himself maintains an air of eerie calm about his person as much as he possibly can. He meditates more than he sleeps, and even when fighting with Geoff he hardly seems ruffled. However, if he is truly angry, it becomes very obvious that he and Alma share more than just a little personality. He would far prefer to settle things using pointed, carefully chosen words, than fighting with fists. But at no time should anyone make the error of thinking he could not explode into a maelstrom in a fight. Paxton has a clear, cultivated air of complexity around him, more by design by accident he can observe a group and slip into it practically unnoticed. That said, he does enjoy being the center of attention, though not with the abusive flair that Rex displays. His prowess with the Replicas is reflected in his leadership of groups of students as well, though it is not the result of powers use, it is simply how he uses his voice, his body language, and his knowledge. This does however lead to him seeming too dangerous to get near, which is largely true. Paxton would prefer his room to have more books. He leaves it the way it was given to him, and spends any time there meditating or in sleep, but rarely entertaining any others, or doing other activities there. Paxton is a quick learner, a good study, and though he is being groomed to become the leader of the Perseus project, and thus has a steady stream of tactical challenges pushed on him (all of which he passes with greater and greater ease), he has somehow found time to add literature, art and sciences to his daily routine. With maturity, his voice dropping specifically, he has entertained himself and others by reading aloud poetry and prose, preferring classics over any new literature. |
Events or History: Because of his unique genetic background, Paxton Fettel is among the most powerful human beings ever born - and he was born, that's something that Keenan has remarked about on numerous occasions. Born as payment for Wilson Carver's commissioned piece (aka Melissa) part of a two-child trade for the Origin program. Paxton and his brother Geoff were instantly recognizable as showcase material. They were imprinted with downloaded fighting skills and made to fight each other - because frankly no one else could fight them and possibly win. While almost all of these sessions were wiped away with chemical memory suppressors, it was clear that they both knew this happened, regularly. It did not cause any rift between them, that developed as it would over time. Brothers they are, but they're still radically different in terms of their qualities of leadership and personality.
As a child, Paxton was charismatic - even 'cute' at times - but also incredibly intelligent and canny. On trips to Armacham centers nearby, he wound up either reading a variety of hardly-age-appropriate books, or even going so far as to borrow a large Shakespeare collection. Reading them, he also tucked those pieces away into his Sanctuary for future reference. As his father Wilson commented on more than one occasion, "he uses everything available to him," while he sometimes does use people as tools, he more often has a goal in mind that everyone, even that 'tool' he's jumped into or jostled aside, can appreciate.
Alma had it in mind to use him to escape the Vault - not that she wasn't able to just up and leave, she did that constantly. But to use him in general, because she could. Though Geoff was almost invisible and completely impermeable to her will, Paxton's mind not so much: she reached into his mind on a daily basis for years, torturing him, giving him nightmarish suggestions to eat his peers or the scientists for their 'juicy' secrets... And he did his best to ignore these taunts. But as a child, he was not experienced nor powerful enough to resist her, and when he was a child, she triggered a response in him that he murdered at least one nearby scientist with his bare - tiny - hands, and would have gone for more if he hadn't been tranquilized. Geoff had allowed him to burrow into his own mind for safety, retreating into the mind that she couldn't get to. But after that point, Paxton's mind was already burning, and to spare himself the pain and eventual disaster, Geoff gently slid him away. Paxton moved house into Melissa's mind, where he's resided in a tiny portion ever since. Her own mind is not completely impermeable, but it is able to regenerate and resist most of Alma's worst thrusts. Over time, his Sanctuary grew into an amazing and very physical location. When the second Synchronicity happened, it was as the Borealis facility was moved back from Keenan's Vortal space - slamming into the grounds near the Enrichment Center, and causing Alma to destroy it entirely, and in her anger and confusion, she lashed out at anyone with the Vortal presence to detect it. Paxton fled, to Xen, mentally. Others merely shut down and would continue to have horrible nightmares for years if not decades to come. As Paxton recovered from his out-of-body trip, the magnitude of the disasters became apparent - it wasn't just the Enrichment Center that had been affected, it was a thousand miles away at Black Mesa, as well... things went downhill.
Paxton and his brother picked up the leadership roles that they'd been known for as single-digit aged children, and into their teenage years led the students and even some few of the staff and ELLs that existed, until Armacham put their own people back into the mix. That didn't last, as the Cities outside started getting built, they just abandoned the Paragon students and facility, along with whoever would remain voluntarily... until the Combine came.
At that point, Paxton and Geoff absolutely rose to power. Rescuing wandering Outlanders, keeping the grounds around their facilities safe, and eventually finding where Paxton's Replicas were created and stored. That was a key point for the entire Pantheon, because he had a dwindling supply of them from the EC. His importance to Keenan and Wilson however had reached a turning point, so eventually he was forced to go back to Xen, this time in body and not just in spirit, to learn the ropes of being the Inheritor of the Mystery. He did not - and sometimes still does not - relish this, though he understood its importance and eventually does truly enjoy being able to do the amazing things that he does, now that he's accepted the role.
That was not his last act, though, and in some dimensions, Paxton does die - this is not that dimension... Pax became the 'lure' that brought Alma back from her multidimensional jaunt. As things on Earth were prepared, technologically and Vortally setting up a huge network for the Vorts, Keenan, any other spare Pantheon with the ability, and then finally Pax and Alma, Paxton had to go looking for his mother, his tormentor. When they did return, their energies, all of hers anyway, were focused on a sort of 'magnifying glass' via the Combine's Citadels and dark matter power plants. As a portal opened to their Overworld... Alma's energy, focused by Paxton, Keenan, and the Vorts, was aimed straight at the brain of Ulathoi.
They'd won, finally, as Keenan's kinfolk, the Convocation, arrived to see what the hell was going on here. And thankfully for him in this dimension, they allowed it. Paxton knows that he is at times, criminally insane. The effort of keeping Alma on that lure heading home to Earth was a tremendous strain, and in at least one outcome in another dimension, Geoff needed to put a bullet in his brother's skull to keep him from doing any more damage - to himself, or anyone else. Rex has shown him this, with a distressed Keenan (and Melissa, and Wilson, and Noah) looking on. But thankfully in this dimension, rather than allowing his madness to destroy him, Paxton has set himself to the task of rebuilding and protecting these other dimensions from the threats that he knows he can conquer. |
Dragons: Paxton actually does have his own whole squad/wing to himself. He can in fact prod any bonded dragon to obey him, and those who aren't Vortally attached to their riders are the only ones able to even remotely fend this off if they don't want the intrusion. They reside at varying points in the Rookery's many locations, and are attended to by Replicas who then become the teleportation point for Pax when he needs to be with them directly.

Features: Bipedal four legs with 4 massive claws on all, thumbs on forefeet; hide is thick, rubbery and suitable for taking a beating, does not cut easily and heals perfectly; wings have 3 fingers with claws, leather, only leading finger visible, wrist thumb with large claw; head has strong central ridging, fin extensions from 'mask' marking, two long upcurved horns; neck has Ryslenesque upturned fin ridge, tail tip has frayed but fleshy tuft
Powers: Winged Flight; Marquisth is a very strong flier, though he's a bit hip-heavy and truth be told his skin is rather ... slippery? (Paxton makes note of him 'squeaking' when he moves?) Able to soar for hours upon hours, diving when the time is right, with perfect landings. No one has ever seen him actually take off, and it's possible that he just teleports straight into the air.
Teleportation; as a sort-of Pernese mutation, Marquisth has always been able to teleport, and his time in the Void has made this considerably stronger. He doesn't even leave a 'pop' behind, he's there, he's not there. Literally anywhere.
Verbal and Telepathic Communication; though he does as stated below speak with a grim and hissing voice, he also can pick up stray thoughts, or invasively peer into any mind - Vortal ones might put up a fight, but he likes that. While he's empathic, he also doesn't stop if someone is hurting.
Healing, his hide is not completely impossible to cut or pierce, but it heals within hours. Nothing has ever gotten past it, into muscle or guts, no one knows how fast he might regrow a limb. Did this dragon have Icarus treatments?
Breath Weapon? He bites, he doesn't need to breathe fire or something. It's possible that he can do so.

Other Info: (from hatching) When this dragon broke his shell, everyone knew that he was one of the strongest and most determined hatchlings ever seen. With markings straight out of a fetish bar, looking as though he's got a mask and gloves is one thing. Knowing that he does, he uses that to his advantage. No one expects him to be serious - yet he is, about his 'play'. He is bloodthirsty and cruel, but also values being able to train up a partner into more hardcore things. He is small compared to his dam, but much bigger than his tiny sire, perhaps 45 feet long (his mother is huge after all), and bipedal. He speaks aloud, with a grim, hissing voice that can go so deep it's almost subsonic.

Note that his 'profession' has changed during his time in the Void. He will still play with his food, or partners, but when Paxton asks him to show up to a fight he's absolutely the first one in and the last one out. Bloodthirsty is the least of the words to describe him in a battle.

Powers: Telepathic Speech and Empathy primarily with bond, but also with all dragons, and most other Vortal or powered people; is adept at swiftly conveying information to Paxton and other dragons while they are all in flight
Winged Flight, with his strong wings, he's able to lift off from a standstill but prefers a sharp drop to sweep back upwards, can soar for decent periods, and is quicker in the air than many his size
Teleportation, can go between or via the Healing Den or Xen, his knowledge of offworld spots is extensive, and he frequently goes 'home' to the Den to visit old friends; Going between is not nearly as exhaustive when done on-world, but he can also time-it and move through different dimensions if and only if he knows the destination
Fire Breathing, formerly assisted with firestone or coal, Pleru can now spit a strong gout of flame which is hot enough to melt many metals and certainly crisp-fry any living thing in moments; this ability can only be used for short periods or with a few minutes between each breath, as his adapted fire glands must recharge between each breath
Search - Pleru is an adept search dragon, and keeps his eye out for other humans or beings that could be good for a dragon bond.

Size/Shoulder/Length: Large 14' at hip joint bipedal / 62' long / 120' ws with massively long fingers (wings are about equivalent to two brown dragons)
Colors: Medium to light brown mottled on wings, dark along tail, with brilliant glowing aqua markings along head, neck, back, and tail; wingsails are night-sky indigo with aqua markings resembling stars and spots; all frills, spikes as well as eyes are aqua
Features: Wyvern with two long legs, and wing-arms, bipedal; extremely long whip tail, extremely large wings; scaled hide with heavy armor plating on all body and neck/head area, absent on all limbs; 3-toed talon feet with very long toes that can grasp around things, heel claw, 4-fingered leather wings with claw-bearing thumb on wrist, fingers visible both surfaces, wing connects from shoulder all the way to midway down tail; head and face have extensive armor frills on chin, jaw, between eyes, and along crest of neck - note that these also sport independently floating brownish 'orbs', external ears, nostrils, and small eyebrow-horns; heavy jaw; extended armor frills on tops of hind legs also have floating orbs; smaller curved spikes along lower back and upper tail
Powers: Interdimensional teleportation, can relocate between any known spots in memory, this power works best on Xen, but can like some use this as a shunt between Earth or other world-based locations to reduce wear and tear; this ability is not exhausting unless he's spent little time on Xen recently; This power can also be used as an attack versus anything smaller than himself, he can 'pop' something away by about 100 meters or less, which serves to disorient as well as delay its inevitable death...
Communication, talks using Vortal flux-shifting, seems to understand Vortigese but does not 'speak' so much as bellow; cannot speak verbally because his voice is 'too deep to be heard'
Winged Flight. Yes, those wings are absolutely made for flight, and he certainly uses them. He can glide for days, particularly in the lower gravity of Xen, but also for hours in gravity with warm air; wings need a lot of space for take-off, but no running, prefers to drop from a height to start flying, will knock things over and do damage when taking off from a standing start.
Parentage: Unknown, in fact it's not even known that there were such things on Xen, but there he is, and he was one of several, so... (update: yes, that's his mother that hangs out with Noah...) Also among those chosen for Voy'urr's genetics

Young are born with tiny, flightless wings and must molt into them with proper nutrients and conditions.
Powers: *Winged / Magical Flight, Brightburn's wings are clearly too small in terms of span and surface area, to actually support an 85 foot long dragon's weight. However, he is aptly named, and the fact is that once he's in the air, it's hard to stop him from cruising around on his own updrafts. He can soar in warm weather for hours, but in colder or wet conditions must rest or fly shorter distances at a time to conserve whatever magical energies keep him aloft.
Verbal Communication, as all Equestrian dragons are able, he speaks English (or whatever passes for it there) with a hissing, growling, and occasionally booming voice. While he's not one to sit down and read a users manual or complicated science book, he actually enjoys reading and reciting poetry - the hipster kind - and has discovered that Paxton is very similar: this is the only reason he's even here, tolerating these smaller dragons (and his middle-of-the-flock status among them) because he knows that even the baddest-ass of badasses need a little intellectual and philosophical down time...
Heat, Flame, and Fire Production, as dragons go, Brightburn lives up to his name tremendously well. His coloration is that of glowing metal before being forged into weapons, he does actually glow when 'firing up his gut'. When aloft, he glows with a more broadly internal line, perhaps following his spine, and when gathering flames to breathe his entire gut is almost too bright to look at. His fire can melt solid stone, and is accurate to over 300 meters, though after a blast that long he does have to recharge and cannot do it at that intensity while flying. His overall heat is quite high, too, so he is usually found where easily burnable items cannot be damaged. Since he does enjoy poetry reading, he's learned to 'power down' and become more or less 'warm to the touch' rather than outright burning, so he can hold or view books without exploding them.

Powers: Winged Flight, like nobody's business this Drak can fly. Though he looks playful, he is absolutely a springing predator, and loves to hide in tall savannah grasses or even dusty ruins, waiting for something to just explode onto. With four wings he can maneuver very well in tight spaces, and attain his top speed remarkably quickly after taking to the air. He requires very little to no takeoff or landing space and can go vertically up and down, hover, and do many speedy moves.
Teleportation, "Portaling", as Draks are able to do short or medium range teleportation, Khaz can move between spaces from a few miles to several hundred, if and only if he knows where he's going - and that's never a problem with Paxton and his Replicas around. If given a glimpse, he'll land directly next to a Replica standing guard, and often enough will allow that Replica to ride him, it's Paxton after all.
Verbal Speech, Mental Communication, though Draks aren't known for much more than an empathic bond to their Knight, this one has a strong Vortal sense and can pick up meanings even if he doesn't understand the words he's hearing. He can speak a drak-lisping English, and his full voice given to Drakonic. His mental bond to Paxton is strong, and he is not jealous in the slightest about the other bonds around him, he's protective and likes knowing if he's needed, pinging the other dragons if Paxton isn't contacting him directly. He does however have a strong communication web among the dragons, not just Paxton's group.
Acid Spit, as all Draks can do, Khaz can lob a spitwad of highly caustic acid that clings to surfaces and burns very quickly. While his spit isn't nearly as deadly as some, it can, if left unattended, burn through Combine metals... Including those locks on the Citadel doors...

Powers: Winged Flight, as one of the larger hybrids of Pyrrhan dragons, Blizzard is certainly the mistress of the skies, particularly when they're overcast or in bad weather. Her huge, strong wings can carry her securely through virtually any amount of wind or storm, though she tends to avoid lightning storms and tornadoes or hurricanes, preferring to habit the northerly realms for her ice and snow storms. Because she has remarkably sharp spines on her back, it's difficult at best to ride her, but she has allowed Paxton and rescued Scavengers (she still calls Humans that, it's not even by habit, she prefers to call them what they are...) to hold on to the spines as they fly. She is not adverse to having gear put around them, either, having gone so far as to suggest they drill holes and put clips into the spines themselves, to make it much easier for these little creatures to hang on. Even if she calls them something slightly derrogatory, she still wants them to live and thrive!
Verbal Speech, she's picky about who she speaks to, and usually speaks Draconic particuarly around any given Human who might understand other languages she can speak. She understands far more English than she lets on, if she were Human she'd be a too-eloquent gangster, prefering to keep her big words for rap battles...
Ice Piercing Breath, though most Skywings breathe fire, Blizzard definitely takes ice breath to its limits, able to shoot out basically chunks of super-cooled ice at such speeds that they can penetrate thick metal and armor. When she gets a good deep breath behind it, and from above with room to form it right, she can produce a 3-meter long javelin of ice so powerful that it will pin armored vehicles into the ground, or destroy a Strider in one carefully managed shot. She is accurate from around 20 meters to 100 meters with this power, though when raining down smaller bits, she can hit things from 200 or more meters up and lets gravity do the hard work.
Ice Shredding, Tolerance, because she's half Icewing and her Skywing parentage allows for it as well, she has a remarkable ability to simply never get cold, though she has been known to overheat in very warm weather. She can also tolerate low-oxygen and high-altitude weather patterns. But her claws and spikes are ideal for gripping into any surface that might be slick or deep, and has no trouble at all scaling ice walls, crevasses, or Citadels just by starting to climb.

Powers: Water 'breathing', is remarkably bouyant, and it seems that his "flame stomach" fills with gasses to keep him afloat! Thus, he cannot use firestone to flame, but he can actually fill up and use this on land to belch an awful smelling and slightly-caustic blob of snot on things, pinning and miring them for a time, it is more sticky but as it dries it becomes slicker (and also a hazard in that regard). He is much more used to actually-fresh water, but he can for short periods of time immerse within almost any liquid. The toxicity of it will eventually damage his hide and he must be completely cleaned off or else he will scar or incur damage. He can open his eyes in toxic water, but prefers not to damage his flight-lids.
Wings can glide for short distances, but he will be better off trying for sea-faring prey. In the water, he is extremely fast and quite nimble, but small fish will elude him with ease, so he goes after larger things... and more dangerous ones
Teleportation, can go between, and if he does this while under water, the water around him in an immediate area will come with, dropping it has proven interesting to put out fires... Yes, Paxton believes this is an absolutely valid use of a dragon, he's thinking with portals after all...
Senses, seems able to orient on objects by echolocation in deep water or darkness, and anyone with sensitive hearing can detect his ping sounds, he can also focus a much deeper frequency for stunning prey under water (only)

Powers: Winged Flight, a dragon of his speed has rarely been seen. Tallorok is adept at low-altitude flight speeding through ruins and around objects, his skill has kept him from ever even scratching a wingtip on a jutting branch or piece of rebar, and has allowed him to evade even the most intense pursuit. He is often sent in first, as a distraction, while other dragons and Paxton's Replicas go into an area to secure it, while the Combine are trying to keep up with the bright blue.
Telepathy, an average ability to communicate directly to Paxton and the other dragons, however it's easier for Pax to think to him. The Replicas also count toward this mile or so distance, so if there are any Paxtons wandering around he can usually get his point through.
T-Power - Tallorok's variety of powers is wide, but his overall ability with the strongest is fairly average. He can use Telekinesis to aid his flight, probably why he's so fast and maneuverable in the air, but he can also use this power to lift around 400lbs worth of gear, people, or objects quite close by himself. Elemental Production and Control, rather than being able to breathe fire, Tallorok creates a strong jet of compressed air, able to hit with effect up to 25m away, or a broad 'wall' of air to buffet things within a few meters that can knock things down, whip small items into the air, and even suffocate those within if he chooses. Last of his abilities is the power to sense living creatures, generally he can sense dragons without any issue, but also Humans - he's working on Vorts too - within around 100m of himself. This has proven useful when he's zipping around ruins, as he can pass by a spot a few times and home in on any people that 'ping' this power.

Teleportation, Reinith is good enough with her betweening that she can easily teleport to a specific location and back, providing transportation from the Aerie Island above Rapture, and down into its depths. This is a little disorienting for anyone she's taking with her that has never suddenly gone down two miles under the ocean, but she seems to enjoy doing it. One of the Replicas is usually on hand to guide her.
Telepathy, as with most Pernese dragons, Reinith is adept at casting brief thoughts at her bond as well as other dragons. She does limit this to Paxton and any relevant humans around him, having been abandoned gives her a mistrust of others that has never left. Her range is fairly short.
Firebreath, she does not need to chew firestone or coal, to produce a medium-heat flame that spreads in a wide fan to a decent damage rating. Anything within the cone of this fire will ignite, the cone itself is hottest at around 20 meters from her head. She can belch out a good number of these bursts before requiring some down time. Because she can breathe fire, she is infertile - it may be because of her lengthy stay in the Healing Den's artificial 'coast'.

Venom, can use her tail tip to puncture nearly any natural skin or hide, and injects a venom that attacks nerve tissue and renders its victim paralyzed; this is extremely painful, but will not in itself kill the victim.
Scent Production, though pungent, her 'stink' is hardly the worst thing that anyone in this post-apocalyptic setting have smelled. She can leave this specifically with her spoor for other dragons to track her, and no one's the wiser.

Powers: Winged Flight, Vezilk is a strong but not very fast flier, tending to rest among treetops and building roofs, ambushing prey or Combine with a quick dive and a sharp landing. She is reasonably tough when it comes to lifting more than just Paxton or a Replica, though she clearly prefers to be used to scout than to transport.
Telepathy and Verbal Speech; she's got a rare ability to speak in English, and though she can't really speak as clearly as some who were born to it, she does understand all that she hears and can deliver short messages as long as they're in easy to say words. It's much easier for her to understand her bond and his dragons, mentally, and she can detect not just Pax but all of his attendant dragons as well as Replicas for up to 5 miles. Her mental voice is velvety, rich, and just a little aftertaste of sickeningly sweet.
TPower - Pyrokinesis; though she's not remarkably adept at producing flame, she can still cough out what equates to a cloud of spores, and then ignite them chemically, nearby. She can also place flammable spores around a location and ignite them from a bit of distance, producing an explosion of some damage.
Elemental/Spores+Mold, her primary power is that over plant life such as mold, spores, and algae or other simple but small plants and bacteria. While studying she has learned how to separate one breed of mold from another, and has aided the scientists in producing vaccines and treatments for the Rebels. Because she can create a large amount of mold or spore activity in a short time, she can disguise an area and hide in it, her lovely coloration allowing her to just lay down and not move, hardly seen.

Powers: Winged Flight, though more durable than he looks, Fetch is not really intended as a flight-worthy boi, and tends to slink along the ground with his wings folded in. He can fly quickly but his length tends to slow his turns.
Boldness; though this isn't a power so much as a personality trait, Fetch is much more self-assured and stable in unusual settings than most of his breed, making him a good companion for Paxton on foot patrols. He doesn't fight, he is absolutely not a combat worthy dragon, but he also doesn't run and hide when the shooting starts. Well, he does, just not very far away. When something startles him, Paxton knows that there's danger around.
