Old World Students

When any given Twoarth or Altearth type student hears the term 'old world' they tend to think about the European or Eurasian continents. But if you're a dragon rider, or from a 'Nexus' realm where dragons are common, it has a more specific meaning, that of the planet Pern. There are several variations on this planet itself, from a stock-in-trade stick in the mud locale where 'girls only ever impress gold and green', but also places with more than the 'standard five colors' of ranks, or even horrific mutations and unusual cybernetic enhancements available.

Since many of the original dragon rider students - now all long since graduated of course - were sent to a version of this world, Twoarth's returning dragon population has always included a disproportionate number of Pern-blooded dragons. Requiring an "impressed bond", some even needing to chew 'firestone' or other substances to produce flame. For years, it was simply the 'expected result' of sending a child from CHS to any dragonry! But it's also always been where students have come from.

In this group, they all are from Pern of some kind, whether it's deeply in its past, or far into the future, or simply an alternate form here and there. Coming to Carramba may be a bit disorienting but since most 'impression age' Pernese are young, smart, empathic, and capable, they almost all succeed at their courses, and learn much about the multiverse and Nexus itself in the process.

A disproportionate number of these kids are 'From A Line Of Sangers' - unrelated to each other, sometimes from extremely different realms, but the fact remains that one of him is probably around on each of those worlds. Some of the dragons have been impressed by people outside of the CHS circle, but they have all been listed here, because of their connection to the dragons, rather than because they are part of the same wing here at CHS. Some may have been moved in time as well as dimensions to attend these eggs.
